Stop giving us empty promises !

Menu Rakyat 1 Malaysia (MR1M) had been introduced to nationwide on July 2011. The purpose of this program is to lighten the burden of citizen by getting their meals at a cheaper price. However, the “Super Value” meal is still a legend, which most of the people do not have a chance to experience it. Recently three of the listed restaurant had been shut down by Penang Health Department due to the problem of hygiene and cleanliness in the process of food.

The poor publicity of MR1M program had the public kind of wondering. There was no official launching, no official website, no marketing promotion and Government “assumed” the nation will know about it. When public started to feel excited with the program and wanted to try, the only thing they provide is “nothing” because they, themselves did not realize they have been listed.

As expected, the 1Malaysia Menu has once again proven that government does not compete and implement the program to the best with sincerity. In the visitation of the reporter, it have been discovered that the original price of Roti Canai with Tea’O are RM2 which is same cost with the RM 2 breakfast set offer by MR1M. What is the different? The different is the MR1M come with an empty promise. People feel tired and despair with all the exaggerated stories when a new program and policy launch by government that able to lead to massive discussion and concern.

In conclusion, government should have to change their attitude which serves the public with sincerity and efficiency, but not giving beautiful empty promise every time. Furthermore, nowadays people are getting smarter, most of the public will not fully believe on whatever the government said. General Election are just around the corner, is this candy before election?
