Lynas

On 1st of November 2011, the Malaysia government declares that they did not give the pre-operations license to the Lynas Corporation yet. There are two versions of news related Lynas was reported in both Utusan online and Nanyang.com. The titles of both news articles are “The Government Haven Surpass Pre-operation License to Lynas” by Utusan Online and “Fail the Security Measurement” by Nanyang.com.
 
Nanyang and Utusan were both started the news by interviewing the authority person who related with the issue. However, different news sources were used as both of the news was interviewing dissimilar spoke persons. Nanyang.com was interviewing the Deputy Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation, Datuk Fadillah Yusof, while Utusan Online was interrogate Minister for International Trade, Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed.

Besides, the contents for the news are similar as both of the news reported that Malaysia government has not permitted the license for Lynas. Utusan Online mentions that the government have not surpass the license for Lynas Advanced Material Plant project until the qualifications that set by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) are accomplish, while Nanyang.com reported that Lynas Corporation had failed to get the license for the Lynas Advanced Material Plant project at Kuantan as the safety measures did not fulfill the qualifications.

However, Utusan Online did reported that Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed notify that the safety issues of the Linas should not been argue as the nuclear expect who was also the PAS parliament member, Dr. Che Rosli Che Mat also admit that the Lynas factory have a very low radiation and is safe. In relatively, Nanyang.com did not report any details about the related notification.
