Our reporter had conducted an on-ground survey by six selected restaurants around Old Klang Road, which had been listed in The Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry official website. However, among the six selected restaurants, there were only one restaurant which practiced the MR1M program. The remaining restaurants were not aware of the 1Malaysia campaign although their shop was listed in the MR1M program.
The Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry has implemented the project of MR1M (Menu Rakyat 1 Malaysia) in July 7,2011. This program promised the nation to get their meal with cheapest price as low as RM2 and maximum RM4, which menu selections differ from the participated restaurant itself. Currently there are 952 restaurants in the nation took part in this program.
