KUALA LUMPUR: In Perfect Harmony, a Malaysian musical journey that explores popular songs of local artistes and international favourites in the last four decades. This musical was held at the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (KLPac) from 6th – 23rd October 2011 whereby local young talents and famous guest artistes were involved.
In Perfect Harmony’s concept of a time travelling radio show from 1970s onwards to present inspired music lovers in attendance. The multi-cultural musical promoted themes like love, unity and peace that highlighted Malaysia’s cultural diversification.
The star studded musical featured local artists such as Tan Soo Suan, Tria Aziz, and Chang Fang Chyi as the lead singers with radio legend Patrick Teoh as narrator and comedian Douglas Lim as deejay. Fresh faces of twenty multi-racial talents also made up a group of ensemble in this performing arts. Meanwhile, special guest appearance like Zainal Abidin, Sean Ghazi, Dato’David Arumugam and The seasons 4 were invited to round up the performances.
This musical was presented successfully by The Star in collaboration with Dama Orchestra in conjunction with their 40th anniversary celebration. With such strong positive support, Dama Orchestra will soon organise another entertaining musical, “Empress Wu” that will further enhance Malaysia’s future in local performing arts field.
