This is an open competition for everyone who has interest in filmmaking and filmmakers to challenge themselves to produce a short film in 48 hours, include script writing, casting, planning, shooting and editing. Each team of filmmakers will randomly get a character, a line of dialogue, a props and a genre to include in the film. The winning team will represent Malaysia in Filmapalooza 2012.
“Finishing everything in 48 hours and with little money is always a challenge. However, I think they are both the common restrictions on almost every film; every director and producer wants more time and more money. It’s just exaggerated in the extreme for the 48 Hour Film Project.”
-- Tim Bunn, the Director/Producer of the “The Girl is Mime”, winner at the Filmapalooza 2011
Over 90 countries of filmmakers had done this for their weekends, KL is just started from last year. All the short film produce in these 48 hours will be screening at TGV KLCC on 1st and 2nd November 2011.
