Fancy sausages? The first-ever SausageFest! is taking place on the 17th of November (Thursday), at The Bee, Jaya One, from 8pm to 12am. This event aims at making appetite charity by offering free sausages for a minimum donation of RM1 in which every RM5 contributed also entitles one to a lucky draw to win an iPod and other great prizes. Admission is free while the non-stop sausage feast will be accompanied by artistes and a line-up of rising local pop bands, namely Leo Lee, Our Sunsets, The Weakenders, The Wishing, Locust Day Dream, Heart-A-Tack, Car Crash Hearts and Bob The Sausage for the partakers’ enjoyment.
All proceeds from the event will go to StART Society, where underprivileged children are provided education in fine arts and performing arts. Founded by Datuk Vincent Lee, the StART Society holds faith in the power of arts in transforming the less fortunate by accommodating healthy channelling of emotions as well as skills for a better tomorrow.
The Million Happy Faces Project will also see to spreading their optimism at the event. Partakers are encouraged to share their smiles and stories with the team in their mission to combat negativity. The project targets the collection of a million smiles, ultimately to be produced into outdoor exhibitions across cities to instill and inspire positivity.
